Westport King

Westport King

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Fished with Mark, Jacob, and Sheryl on Saturday in the breezy choppy water and had an OK day. Casino zone pulling bait as usual. Managed 3 keeper kings in the 14-17 lb range, and released 3 more in the 15-20 pound range. Chartreuse fish flash with bait, straight bait, and more bait being our program. We also found a little spot that produced a couple of small keeper ling and a rock fish while we trolled our salmon gear through it.

Sunday, Jeff took over for Sheryl and we again had 4 rods to work. Did the casino zone again with all our friends. We had our 4 kings well before noon again 14-18 pounds. We had fun on the flat water and fooled around looking for coho out deep until 6pm. Released a few finned Ho's and kept a small one.

It was great to do the networking thing and spread the cheer out there. It's really what it's all about!

Overall a scratchy weekend but worth the price of admission fo sho! Relentless2 is shaping up to be a fine fishing platform.

Thanks Mark!

Oh yeah,

Here's a little Crystal Method for those looking for a fix!

Westport salmon 6-18 and 19 2011

Fathers day weekend 2011

Excellent trip to Westport for hatchery kings with Mark, Jacob, and Nate.

Saturday started out nicely with 5 kings in the boat, then the action died mid day. The weather picked up a bit so we called it. Did a nice salmon BBQ on the boat that night then prepared for the next morning.

Sunday's forecast wasn't so good but once over the bar, the water was nice. Our fishing started very slow but we stuck with it and managed a limit of nice feeder kings by 5:30.

Marks revamped boat performed well and the crew was top notch. We had some entanglements with the crab gear forest out there but managed not to lose too much gear. Despite major electrical systems overhaul, we were safe and having a great time. Plans are already in the works to do it again....

Relentless2

Spent the weekend working with good buddy Mark on his Trophy making it sea worthy. He has done a complete wiring and electrical system upgrade, new electronics package, trim tabs, and more.
Slow going but I think it will be worth it once we get it on the water.
