I fished Sunday on the Relentless with Mark, Wayne, and Jacob(Marks son).
We headed down to Westport Saturday afternoon to meet Wayne and
Brenda, the former owners of Marks boat. They planned to fish with us on
Sunday. They brought some nice crab they caught at Pt. Townsend, where
they live, and we feasted both Saturday night and Sunday.
The big flag was at full attention when we arrived around 7PM on
Saturday and the weather reports were shaky. Small swell but the
forecast called for 3-5 foot wind waves. We fooled around for a bit
and hit the rack by 10 PM. Up at 4 and the wind was still cooking pretty
good. After a while we decided to head out and give it a go.
Overall it wasn't too bad. The bar was mild and the swell was short with some lumpy choppy stuff but nothing too serious.
We started South in about 50 feet after talking to Russell
(Buzz2401). During the course of the day we fishes an area that was just
inside the GH buoy and was probably about a 2 mile square. It took us a
bit but we started getting a strike here and there. 2 riggers and 2
divers. We started with all bait and eventually switched to all spoons.
Average 25ft. on the rigger, and 27 pulls on the divers. We had 3 fish
in the boat before 9AM and released a few until we put a 20 pounder in
the box to complete the mission around 11AM.
We could tell that the weather wasn't improving so there was no real
effort to find any coho. We made it back to the dock before noon, which
is a first for us, as we normally won't tag out until late because we
love it so much out there.
Here's a couple of pics:

David loses his 1st tooth
David spent the day with his Grandmother Elaine today. I went to have dinner with them after work. David's tooth had been pretty loose for a couple of weeks and I told him today is the day and you need to get that thing out of there. Just before dinner, while we were cooking, David walked in to the kitchen and said" Dad, You're not going to believe this but guess what just happened." "What" I said. "My tooth came out".
Pretty cool and he was super excited....
